Creating sections in a existing greenhouse for the best results!
In late 2022, Kascoplex provided clear polycarbonate sheets for the construction of several intermediate walls. HS Tuinbouwservices was commissioned by their customer to create multiple sections within an existing greenhouse. The creation of these sections within a greenhouse has several advantages, including the ability to control the climate in each section and carry out multiple tests.
Thanks to the high insulation value of polycarbonate, these sections are perfectly insulated, providing an ideal environment for the plants to grow. With Kascoplex's clear polycarbonate sheets installed in the intermediate walls, the sections will benefit from excellent light transmission, making them perfect for healthy plant growth.
Polycarbonate gables for flowers in the Netherlands

Polycarbonate gables for tomatoes in the USA
At the end of 2020, Kascoplex delivered 6300m² of 16mm thick polycarbonate wall material for the second phase of the Intergrow project, located in the American state of New York near the city of Ontario. The customer's requirement was that the walls should not allow any light to pass through. Therefore, Havecon chose to supply the Opaque Grey variant, which is perfect for this application.
Thanks to its X-structure, the Kascoplex polycarbonate sheet offers exceptional insulation properties, with an insulation value of 2.1 Watt/M².K. This makes it an ideal solution for the growing of tomatoes in a climate with cold winters and hot summers, as it provides excellent insulation to maintain a consistent growing environment.
Kascoplex has been a trusted supplier for this project, having supplied both light-blocking and clear sheets for the earlier phases of the project. The installation process is seen in full swing in the photo below, showcasing the efficiency and effectiveness of Kascoplex's products in action.
